Born in Athens, Greece, Sophia Katsarou is a multifaceted visual artist, a painter, a published poet and a dancer.

A graduate of the venerable School of Fine Arts in Athens, alma mater of the most prominent Greek painters, she apprenticed under Zacharias Arranitis while also studying graphic design in the prestigious Vacalo college.

Her art has been displayed in numerous Athenian galleries and art forums, individually or as a part of curated exhibitions. She has published two poetry anthologies.

Her work is influenced by her fascination with eastern medicine and philosophy,
her study of human motion and by her lifelong practice of dance and Chinese martial arts.
